Material spotlight: Carbon crystal board

Our carbon crystal board construction puts a double-sided bamboo-wood fiber outer layer over a high-density core — independently fire-tested and built to take knocks.

Density

0.8 – 1.0 surface density. High-density skins resist dents and screw pull-out far better than standard foamed boards.

Impact resistance

10x impact resistance compared with ordinary carbon crystal board, thanks to the double-sided bamboo-wood fiber outer layer.

Workability

Can be grooved and bent — suitable for various grooved panel designs, arcs and column wraps without face cracking.

Tested carbon crystal board sample as submitted for GB 8624-2012 fire testing
